UtilityEye
LPG is ideal for commercial and residential tanks, whether above or
under ground. The system routinely monitors the LPG level in each tank
at intervals specified by the utility. When the tank level drops to a predetermined level, automatic alarm messages are transmitted to the utility. If
the tank level is increased by 20%, a 'fill' message is sent. This
either confirms a delivery, or if a fill has not been scheduled, this
means that a competitor has filled the tank.  The utility is
alerted of any tanks with a low LPG level, which allows the utility to
schedule delivery routes. This greatly increases the efficiency of
route scheduling, eliminating many unnecessary tank fills, and the
expensive emergency refills when a customer runs out.
This
information is presented on a password protected website for secure
viewing by the utility. Alternatively, information can be routed to the
utility's existing scheduling software, providing a fully integrated
management system. UtilityEye LPG communicates information via
Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, and is equipped with a battery power
supply. This means that each product is stand-alone, requiring no
terrestrial communications network or power supply, and is reliable in
even the most remote locations.
