UtilityEye LPG - Data Management

Message Handler

The message handler accepts raw data transmitted from the tanks, carries out various operations on this data and converts it into a human or computer readable form. As the data delivery system is based on Internet technologies, our capacity is infinitely scalable. The raw data is stored upon arrival for archiving and disaster recovery purposes. The data is then stored in a separate database in a form that can be listed, searched and analyzed via a customized web site.

Data Display and Delivery

Information can be accessed at any time by simply logging on to a dedicated, password-protected area of the Andronics site. This eliminates the cost of back-office computer systems and enables multiple users at multiple locations to access the data simultaneously. A visual display shows a log of all tanks fitted with UtilityEye®. Data may also be delivered in a form that can be interpreted by back-office legacy systems. This data can then be forwarded to those systems in a number of ways

  • File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
  • Email (SMTP)
  • ODBC Connection (directly to a database) via a Virtual Private Network.
  • Flat File (ASCII) via a Virtual Private Network.
  • XML over HTTP (SOAP/XMLHTTP).
  • Custom socket stream.
  • Dial-up delivery.

Andronics Ltd offers a range of solutions depending on the exact requirements of our customers. For example, in some cases, the LPG Distributor is happy for us to host Customer Account Information and associate this data with each tank. In other cases, we deliver the data to the LPG Distributor and it is his responsibility to correlate the tank data with his Customer database.

Andronics Ltd also provides the ability to store additional tank information:

  • Date of Installation of the tank
  • Next maintenance due date
  • Contact details for person(s) responsible for refilling the tank
  • Contact details for person(s) responsible for maintaining the tank
  • Maps of the tank location
  • Driving directions to the tank
  • Special instructions (e.g. "collect key at gatehouse to access tank compound")
  • Photographs of the tank

Automated Reports

The LPG Distributor can generate report templates through UtilityEye's easy to use web interface. These templates or 'macros' can be automated to run daily, weekly or monthly and will generate reports of:

  • All units below a certain percentage filled
  • All units that have been overfilled
  • All units that have reported in the last time period
  • All reports for a given site (multiple tanks per site)
  • All reports for a given tank
  • Current levels for all tanks for a specific customer.

These reports are delivered automatically by email in Microsoft Excel, HTML, or CSV format.
